Fancy (real name Manfred Alois Segatz) is an Austrian singer and songwriter born on November 28, 1946, in Vienna.
He began his career in 1966 by recording a single titled "So Long, Boy". After signing with the German label Ariola, he released his first album, Fancy, in 1967. The album was a moderate success in Germany, peaking at number four on the charts. Subsequently, Fancy released several other albums and singles that were well-received in Germany and Austria.
In 1984, he released the single "Bolero (Hold Me in Your Arms)", which topped the charts in Germany and Austria. The title became an international success, reaching the top 10 in several countries.
