BIOGRAPHY
"Boney M. is a disco group created in 1976, famous for its worldwide hits Tell Me Why, Daddy Cool, Sunny, Rivers of Babylon, and Brown Girl in the Ring. The group is composed of four singers: Liz Mitchell, Marcia Barrett, Maizie Williams, and Bobby Farrell. Producer Frank Farian also plays a key role in the group, composing most of their songs and ensuring their promotion.
The group immediately finds success with its first single, "Baby Do You Wanna Bump," which tops the charts in Germany. They then string together several other successes, including "Daddy Cool," "Sunny," and "Rivers of Babylon," which also top the charts in many countries.
The group disbands in 1986, but Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett continue to tour under the name "Boney M. featuring Liz Mitchell." Bobby Farrell passes away in 2010, but the group continues to perform with new singers."
