BIOGRAPHY
C.C. Catch is a German singer, mainly known for her work in the 1980s. She was born Caroline Catharina Müller in Osnabrück, West Germany, on July 31, 1964. Her father was a musician and she began taking piano lessons at the age of six. She also developed an interest in fashion and her first job was as a model.
In the 1980s, she moved to Hamburg, where she met producer and songwriter Dieter Bohlen. Impressed by her appearance and voice, he hired her for his label, Hansa. Her first single, "Cause You Are Young," was released in 1984 and was a huge success in Europe. She followed up with a series of other hits, including "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight" and "Heaven and Hell."
In the 1990s, C.C. Catch's career declined and she was let go by her label. She attempted a comeback in the 1990s, but her new album was not successful. She has since retired from the music industry.
