Corynne Charby is a French singer born on January 6, 1966 in Paris. She was discovered in 1986 by producer Jean-Claude Camus, with whom she recorded her first album, Corynne Charby, the following year. The album was a commercial success and Charby became a star of the 1980s in France. She subsequently released two more albums, Bambino (1988) and Bubble Gum (1989), before retiring from the music scene at the end of the 1980s. She made her grand comeback in 2006 with the album Nouveau départ, followed by Avant que l'ombre... (2007) and À corps perdu (2009).
