Patsy

BIOGRAPHY

"Patsy Cline was an American country music singer born on September 8, 1932, in Winchester, Virginia, and died on March 5, 1963, in a plane crash near Camden, Tennessee. She is considered one of the greatest country music singers of all time. Growing up in a poor family of seven children, Cline's father was an alcoholic and violent, often leading her to fight back. At nine, he attempted to strangle her. At thirteen, she left school to work and began singing in honky tonk clubs. She married her first husband, Gerald Cline, at eighteen. In 1957, she signed with Decca Records and released her first single, 'Walkin' After Midnight.' The single became a hit, and she began touring. In 1960, she recorded 'I Fall to Pieces,' her biggest hit. Unfortunately, Cline's career was marked by several accidents. In 1961, she was involved in a severe car accident that hospitalized her for several months. Then, in 1963, she died in a plane crash. She was only 30 years old. Cline is recognized as one of the greatest country music singers of all time. Her unique voice and melancholic songs have touched the hearts of millions of fans. Her tragic death left a void in the country music world, but her legacy lives on."
