"Matisyahu, whose real name is Matthew Miller, is an American singer and musician born on June 30, 1979 in Brooklyn, New York. He is known for his music that blends reggae, rap, and rock, as well as his distinctive fashion style and religious engagement.
Raised in the Orthodox Jewish religion, Matisyahu first became interested in reggae and rap before converting to Hasidic Judaism. He then began singing and playing the drums, quickly gaining popularity due to his original music and energetic performances.
