Claydee Lupu, also known as Claydee, was born on October 10, 1980 in Tirana, Albania, and is a Greek singer, songwriter, and music producer of Albanian descent. He is best known for his single "Mamacita Buena," which reached number 3 on the Greek charts, and his song "Hey Ma," a collaboration with DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.
Early life
Claydee was born in Tirana, Albania on October 10, 1980. His family moved to Greece when he was three years old. He was raised in Thessaloniki before moving to Athens later on.
2010-2013: Career beginnings
Claydee began his career as a songwriter and producer, working with artists such as Helena Paparizou, Giorgos Tsalikis, Kostas Martakis, Eleni Foureira, Tamta, and Kostas Hatzis. In 2010, he released his first single as a solo artist, "Toxic," which reached number 19 on the Greek charts.
In 2012, Claydee signed a record deal with Panik Records. He released his second single, "Sexy Papi," in May 2012. The song reached number 13 on the Greek charts.
In 2013, Claydee released his third single, "Mamacita Buena." The song reached number 3 on the Greek charts and was certified double platinum by the Hellenic Phonographic Industry (IFPI Greece).
In October 2013, Claydee released his first album, DeeLiteful. The album reached number 12 on the Greek charts.
2014-present: International success
In 2014, Claydee collaborated with DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike on the song "Hey Ma." The song reached number 1 in Bulgaria and was certified platinum by the Bulgarian Music Association (BMI).
In 2015, Claydee collaborated with Alex Hepburn on the song "Do It." The song reached number 1 in Greece and was certified double platinum by the Hellenic Phonographic Industry (IFPI Greece).
In 2016, Claydee collaborated with Faydee on the song "Nobody." The song reached number 1 in Greece and was certified double platinum by the Hellenic Phonographic Industry (IFPI Greece).
In 2017, Claydee collaborated with Kirsten Collins on the song "Notayo (Be Mine)." The song reached number 1 in Greece and was certified platinum by the Hellenic Phonographic Industry (IFPI Greece).
In 2018, Claydee collaborated with Alexia on the song "Ti Potrei Lasciare Ma." The song reached number 1 in Italy and was certified platinum by the Italian Music Industry Federation (FIMI).
