Purple Disco Machine, whose real name is Tino Piontek, is a German record producer and DJ born on June 12, 1980 in Dresden. He is best known for his song "Dished (Male Stripper)" which reached the top spot on the UK club chart in 2018. In 2017, "Body Funk" with Karen Harding was critically acclaimed and became a club and festival staple.
His music career began in the 1990s when he became a resident DJ in several clubs in Dresden. He started his producer career in 2009 and has since gained worldwide popularity.
In addition to his own productions, Purple Disco Machine has remixed renowned artists such as Two Door Cinema Club, New Order, Gorillaz and Claptone. He has also performed at major international music festivals like Glastonbury in the UK, Coachella in the US and Tomorrowland in Belgium.
