Jean-Baptiste-Antoine Deals (1725-1778) was a French composer and cellist. Born in Paris, he studied under Jean-Baptiste Barrière and François Couperin. He became a member of the Chapelle royale orchestra in 1743 and of the Académie royale de musique in 1746. He composed several works for the stage, including the opera-ballet Le temple de la Gloire (1745), and the ballets Les fêtes chinoises (1748) and Le Triomphe de l'amour (1749). He also wrote several chamber works and religious works. He died in Paris in 1778.
