Kirsty Hawkshaw (born December 10, 1969, in Nottingham, England) is an English singer, songwriter, record producer, and DJ. She is known for her collaborations with the groups Opus III, Art of Noise, Kaleidoscope World, and The KLF, as well as for her solo singles "Fine Day" and "Eternal Minds". Hawkshaw grew up in Derbyshire. She began her singing career at the age of eleven with the psychedelic rock group Opus III, which released two albums, "The Right Way" (1979) and "The Opus III" (1981). In 1982, she joined the synth-pop group Art of Noise as a singer and songwriter, and contributed to their album "Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise?" (1984). In 1986, she released her first solo single, "Fine Day," produced by the American-Italian dance group Black Box. The single reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in January 1987. In 1988, she released her first solo album, "One to One," produced by Italian dance music producer Claudio Cecchetto. In 1990, Hawkshaw joined the techno group The KLF as a singer and songwriter, and contributed to their album "The White Room" (1991). In 1991, she released her second solo album, "Dreams of Orchids," produced by British dance music producer Youth. In 1992, she released the single "Eternal Minds," which reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart in March 1992. In 1993, she released her third solo album, "Metamorphosis," produced by German trance music producer Oliver Lieb. In 1994, Hawkshaw joined the trance group Kaleidoscope World as a singer and songwriter, and contributed to their album "The End Is the Beginning" (1994). In 1996, she released her fourth solo album, "Transmission," produced by German trance music producer Oliver Lieb. In 1998, she released her fifth solo album, "The Iceberg Model," also produced by German trance music producer Oliver Lieb.
