PHOTON DECAY is a progressive metal band composed of five members from Nancy, France, formed in late 2013. The band consists of singer/guitarist Jérémie Bezier, guitarist Quentin Godet, bassist/singer Benjamin Godet, drummer/percussionist Lucas Godet, and keyboardist/singer/pianist Baptiste Beauvois. Their music is a blend of progressive metal, power metal, and symphonic metal, with elements of jazz, classical music, and folk music. Their first album, "The Great Awakening", was released in 2014. The album was well received by critics and fans, and was nominated for "Best Debut Album" at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2015. In 2016, Photon Decay released their second album, "The Human Condition". The album was once again praised by critics and was nominated for "Best Album" at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2016. The band is currently working on its third album, set to be released in 2019.
