De Commodores is een Amerikaanse muziekgroep opgericht in 1968 in Tuskegee, Alabama. De groep bestaat uit Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, Milan Williams, Walter Orange en William King. Ze scoorden grote commerciële successen met nummers als "Easy", "Brick House" en "Three Times a Lady".
De groep viel uiteen in 1987, maar hervatte hun carrière in 1993. In 2007 werd de groep opgenomen in de Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2016 werd de groep opgenomen in de Musical Hall of Fame.
