David Forbes is een Schotse muzikant, geboren in Edinburgh in 1965. Hij begon zijn carrière als DJ en producer van elektronische muziek in de jaren 1980. In 1992 richtte Forbes het elektronische muzieklabel Soma Quality Recordings op. Ook is Forbes bekend van zijn remixes van pop- en dancemuziek.
