A-ha is a Norwegian synth-pop group formed in 1982. The group is composed of Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen, and Pål Waaktaar-Savoy. Their first single, "Take on Me", was released in 1984 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States in 1985. Their second single, "The Sun Always Shines on T.V.", also reached number one in the United States. Their third single, "Hunting High and Low", was released in 1985 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their first album, Hunting High and Low, was released in 1985 and reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Their second album, Scoundrel Days, was released in 1986 and reached number five on the Billboard 200 chart. Their third album, Stay on These Roads, was released in 1988 and reached number eleven on the Billboard 200 chart. Their fourth album, East of the Sun, West of the Moon, was released in 1990 and reached number forty-two on the Billboard 200 chart. Their fifth album, Memorial Beach, was released in 1993 and did not chart on the Billboard 200. Their sixth album, Minor Earth | Major Sky, was released in 2000 and reached number twenty-five on the Billboard 200 chart. Their seventh album, Analogue, was released in 2005 and reached number seventy on the Billboard 200 chart. A-ha has sold over 80 million albums worldwide.
