Alan Parsons Project

BIOGRAPHY

"The Alan Parsons Project is a British progressive rock band created in 1975 by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson. The group had limited commercial success, but was a pioneer in the use of sound engineering and orchestration in pop music. The band formed after Parsons worked as a sound engineer on the Beatles' album "Abbey Road" and Woolfson co-wrote and co-produced the concept album "The Alan Parsons Project". Together, they collaborated on several albums with various guest artists before disbanding in 1990. The group's influence has been significant on various artists such as Pink Floyd, Genesis, and Supertramp. Their album "I Robot" (1977) was ranked by Rolling Stone among the 100 greatest progressive rock albums of all time, while "Eye in the Sky" (1982) is considered one of their greatest commercial successes."
