BIOGRAPHY
Chris Isaak is an American singer, songwriter, and actor born on June 26, 1956, in Stockton, California. He began his musical career in the 1980s, achieving commercial success with his "Heart Shaped World" album in 1989. Since then, Isaak has recorded 11 studio albums and appeared in several films and television series.
Isaak grew up in a musical family and began learning guitar and violin at a young age. After high school, he studied theater and music at the University of California, Southern California, before moving to San Francisco, where he played in several blues clubs before signing with Warner Bros. Records in 1985.
His debut album, "Silvertone," was released in 1985 and received critical acclaim. Isaak then recorded two more commercial albums, "Heart Shaped World" (1989) and "San Francisco Days" (1993), both of which reached the Top 40 in the UK. In 1995, Isaak starred in the film "Little Buddha" and released the album "Forever Blue," certified gold in the UK. Isaak has also appeared in several films and television series, including "Twin Peaks" (2017), and released two duets albums, "Beyond the Sun" (2011) and "First Comes the Night" (2015).
Isaak is known for his eclectic musical style, blending country, rockabilly, pop, and blues. He is also recognized for his sense of humor and stage charm. Isaak has been critically acclaimed for his voice and songwriting skills, and has been compared to Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and Johnny Cash. In 2019, Isaak was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
