Colonel Abrams was an American music artist, born on November 14, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away on November 24, 2016, in New York at the age of 67. He was active in the soul and dance music genres of the 1980s.
Abrams grew up in a musical family and began singing in his local church. He later pursued a career in the United States Air Force before turning to music.
His most well-known title is "Trapped," which reached the number one spot on the US R&B chart in 1985. He also released several other successful singles, such as "I'm Not Gonna Let," "How Soon We Forget," and "Speak Your Mind."
Abrams fought cancer for many years and was in remission at the time of his death. He leaves behind a rich and significant contribution to 1980s soul and dance music.
