France Gall


BIOGRAPHY

France Gall was a French singer born in 1947. She achieved international success in the 1960s with songs such as "Poupée de cire, poupée de son", "Les Sucettes" and "Laisse tomber les filles". She also recorded duets with Michel Berger, including "Les Chansons commencent" and "Attends-moi". Gall represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1965 with the song "Poupée de cire, poupée de son", which won the contest. She then represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1967 with the song "Les Sucettes", which finished fourth. Gall had a relationship with singer and composer Serge Gainsbourg from 1966 to 1971. She later married music producer Pierre Barouh in 1972. Gall stopped singing in 1995 after the death of her son Paul. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 70.
