BIOGRAPHY
Michael McDonald is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He began his musical career as a backing vocalist and keyboardist for rock groups Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers. McDonald subsequently pursued a successful solo career in the 1980s, releasing hits such as "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)" and "Sweet Freedom". He has also collaborated with numerous artists, including Toto, James Ingram, Van Halen, and Aretha Franklin. McDonald was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 as a member of The Doobie Brothers.
