Nicole Mc Cloud is an American pop and R&B singer and songwriter. She began her career in 1984 with the single "Don't You Want My Love", which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1986, she released her first album, Nicole, which reached number two on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album produced four singles, including "Run to You", which reached number two on the Hot 100. Her second album, One More Night, was released in 1988 and reached number four on the Billboard 200. The album produced three singles, including "One More Night", which reached number one on the Hot 100. Mc Cloud released her third album, Heart of Stone, in 1991. The album reached number fifteen on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the RIAA. The album produced two singles, including "Love Will Find a Way", which reached number twenty-six on the Hot 100. Mc Cloud released her fourth album, Naked Without You, in 1998. The album was not very successful and was not certified by the RIAA. Mc Cloud then took a break from her music career to focus on her acting career. She made her acting debut in 2000 in the film Bait, and later starred in The Scorpion King in 2002. In 2006, she made her Broadway debut in the role of Nala in the musical The Lion King. In 2008, she starred in the film Cadillac Records. In 2010, she reprised her role as Nala in the film The Lion King 3D. Mc Cloud released her fifth album, The Collection, in 2012. The album reached number forty-five on the Billboard 200. The album produced one single, "In the Name of Love", which did not have much success. Mc Cloud released her sixth album, The Very Best of Nicole Mc Cloud, in 2015. The album reached number seventy-nine on the Billboard 200. The album did not produce any singles.
