Quarterflash is an American rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 1980. The name of the group comes from a comic strip titled "Quarterflash" that was published in the Portland Oregonian newspaper. The band's only hit single, "Harden My Heart," reached third place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1981. The group's debut self-titled album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
