Sam Brown is a British singer-songwriter and musician born on October 13, 1964, in London. She began her career in 1986 working as a backing vocalist for various artists, including George Michael and Sting. In 1988, she released her debut album, Stop!, which was a commercial success and topped the UK charts. The album was also certified gold in the US. Brown continued to release albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, and collaborated with numerous artists, such as Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, and Tina Turner. She took a break from her musical career in 2006 to focus on her family, but returned in 2013 with a new album, The A&R Sessions. Brown currently resides in London with her husband and two children.
