Simply Red is a British pop rock group, originating in Manchester. Formed in 1985, the group is made up of Mick Hucknall (vocals, guitar), Tony Bowers (bass), Fritz McIntyre (keyboards), Steve Lewinson (drums), Kenji Suzuki (guitar), and Kevin Robinson (trumpet, percussion). Simply Red achieved international success in the 1980s and 1990s with the singles "Holding Back the Years" and "If You Don't Know Me by Now". Their 1985 album, Picture Book, was certified seven times platinum in the UK and reached number one on the UK charts. The group has sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
