Yazoo is a British new wave duo formed in 1981 by Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke. Their debut album, Upstairs at Eric's, was a commercial and critical success, reaching number 2 in the UK and containing their most popular singles, "Only You" and "Don't Go". The duo split up in May 1983, after only two albums and eight singles. Moyet pursued a successful solo career, while Clarke formed the band Erasure. In 2008, Yazoo reunited for a five-date tour in Europe and two dates in Japan.
