Yello

BIOGRAPHY

Here is the translation in English of the bio: Yello is a Swiss electronic music duo formed in 1979, composed of Boris Blank and Dieter Meier. Carlos Perón joined them in 1982. Their music is characterized by electronic sounds and samples, as well as Meier's distinctive voice. Yello was formed in 1979 by Boris Blank, a classically trained musician, and Dieter Meier, a visual artist and sculptor. Their first single, "I.A.O.", was released in 1979, followed by the album Solid Pleasure in 1980. The arrival of Carlos Perón, an experimental and avant-garde musician, in 1982 led to the release of the album Claro Que Si in 1983. In 1985, Yello released the album Stella, followed by the single "Desire" in 1986. The year 1988 was marked by the release of the album Flag, which includes the single "The Race", used in the soundtrack of the film The Big Blue. The 90s were marked by the release of several albums: Baby in 1991, One Second in 1995 and Touch Yello in 2003. In 2009, Yello released the album Flag, a remix album of their eponymous album. In 2012, Yello released the album Toy, followed by the album Toy 2.0 in 2016, a remix album of their Toy album.
