Clean Bandit is a British electronic music group formed in 2009 in Cambridge, England. The group is composed of Jack Patterson, Luke Patterson, and Grace Chatto. They are known for their hits "Rather Be", "Rockabye", and "Symphony".
In 2009, Jack and Luke Patterson, computer science students, and Grace Chatto, a music student, began creating music together, combining computers and acoustic instruments. They quickly gained popularity online and signed with the electronic music label Atlantic Records in 2012.
Their first single, "A+E", was released the same year and reached the top 10 of the UK singles chart. Their second single, "Dust Clears", was an international success, reaching the top 10 in several countries, including Australia, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the UK.
In 2014, Clean Bandit released their first album, "New Eyes", which reached second place on the UK albums chart. The third single from the album, "Rather Be", was a worldwide success, reaching number one on the singles chart in Germany, the UK, and the US.
Their fourth single, "Real Love", a cover of John Lennon's song, reached number two on the UK singles chart. In 2015, they released their second album, "What Is Love?", which reached fifth place on the UK albums chart. The first single from the album, "Tears", reached number one on the UK singles chart.
The second single from the album, "Rockabye", a collaboration with British hip-hop artist Sean Paul, was a worldwide success, reaching number one on the singles chart in several countries, including the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Switzerland.
In 2017, Clean Bandit released their third album, "What Is Love?", which reached second place on the UK albums chart. The first single from the album, "Symphony", a collaboration with British pop artist Zara Larsson, was a worldwide success, reaching number one on the singles chart in several countries, including the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Switzerland.
