Giorgio Moroder is an Italian music producer, composer, and singer born on April 26, 1940, in Urbino, Italy. Considered one of the pioneers of disco music, Moroder is also recognized as one of the precursors of techno and house music. He has produced albums for numerous famous artists such as Donna Summer, Blondie, David Bowie, Cher, Janet Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Keith Forsey, Sparks, Berlin, Irene Cara, Billy Idol, Asia, Freddie Mercury, Chaka Khan, Kylie Minogue, Laura Branigan, Melissa Manchester, Paul Engemann, Scarface, Irene Cara, Martha Wash, and Giorgio Moroder... Giorgio Moroder has also composed music for films such as Midnight Express, American Gigolo, Flashdance, Scarface, Cat People, Electric Dreams, The Neverending Story, Over the Top, Batman Forever, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. In 2014, he was honored with a Grammy Award for his lifetime achievement. Starting his musical career playing the trumpet at the age of seven, Moroder left Italy at seventeen to settle in Berlin where he worked as a musician and singer in jazz clubs. In 2015, he collaborated with Britney Spears on the song "Tom's Diner" from the singer's album of covers, My Prerogative. In 2016, he released his first solo album in 23 years, Déjà Vu, to critical acclaim. He also collaborated with Kylie Minogue on the song "Right Here, Right Now" from her album Golden. In 2019, he released his second solo album, Good Times, accompanied by the single "Déjà Vu".
