BIOGRAPHY
Kris McLachlan is a Scottish musician, born in 1965 in Glasgow, Scotland. He began his musical career playing guitar in Glasgow clubs. In 1985, he joined the Scottish pop band Simple Minds, where he stayed for five years before embarking on a solo career in 1990. His debut solo album, "The Edge of Nowhere", was released in 1991. He followed up with other albums such as "The Gift" (1993), "The Journey" (1995) and "The Promise" (1998). In 2001, he released an album of covers titled "Songs from the Edge of Nowhere". McLachlan has also collaborated with other artists on albums such as "The Celtic Connection" (2003) with the Celtic music group Clannad. Today, he resides in Glasgow with his wife and their three children.
