Louis Millne was a French musical artist born in 1868. He studied music at the École normale de musique de Paris and later taught in several schools in France. In 1896, he became director of the École normale de musique de Paris, and in 1903, director of music at the Paris Opera. From 1911 to 1914, he served as director of the Opéra-Comique de Paris, followed by director of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo from 1917 to 1920. He then served as director of the Opéra de Nice from 1920 to 1925, and director of the Opéra de Paris from 1926 to 1930. He subsequently held the positions of director of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Opéra de Nice, Opéra de Paris, before finishing his career as director of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo in 2011.
