Mark Ronson is an English producer, songwriter, DJ, and record producer, born on September 4, 1975, in London. He is known for his remixes, productions, and collaborations with various artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Robbie Williams, Adele, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga. In 2014, he released his fourth studio album, Uptown Special, which includes the single "Uptown Funk" in collaboration with Bruno Mars. The single reached number one in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Ronson grew up in the affluent neighborhood of St John's Wood in London. He is the son of English filmmaker Mick Ronson and French actress Ann Dexter-Jones. His mother is Jewish, and his father was a Catholic of Irish descent. He has an older sister, Charlotte Ronson, a fashion designer and former DJ, and an older brother, Alexander Jones, a musician and producer. Ronson attended the Lycée français Charles de Gaulle before attending the private school Ashdown House. He then studied art history and photography at Vassar College but did not graduate. In 1994, Ronson began his career as a DJ in New York City clubs. He later worked as a producer for All Saints and Sean Lennon. In 1999, he released his first studio album, Here Comes the Fuzz. In 2007, Ronson released his second studio album, Version, featuring the singles "Stop Me" and "Valerie" with Amy Winehouse. In 2010, he released his third studio album, Record Collection, featuring the singles "Bang Bang Bang" and "The Bike Song." In 2014, he released his fourth studio album, Uptown Special, with the single "Uptown Funk" with Bruno Mars, number one in several countries. In 2019, Ronson released his fifth studio album, Late Night Feelings, with the single "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" with Miley Cyrus.
