Paramore

BIOGRAPHY

Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro. Former members Jeremy Davis and Josh Farro are no longer with the band. The band released their debut album, All We Know Is Falling, in 2005, with the second single from the album "Emergency" achieving some commercial success. While the album was initially well received by music critics, it failed to achieve commercial success. The band's second album, Riot!, was released in 2007, debuting at number 20 on the US Billboard 200 and certified Gold in the US. The album was a mainstream success and was certified Platinum in the US and Ireland. It included the singles "Misery Business", "Crushcrushcrush", and "That's What You Get". The band's 2009 album, brand new eyes, is the group's second-highest charting album to date, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and certified Platinum in Ireland and the UK, and Gold in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The album produced the singles "Ignorance", "Brick by Boring Brick", and "The Only Exception". In 2013, Paramore released their fourth self-titled album, which debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200 and was their first album to top the chart. It was also number 1 in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. The album's first single, "Now", became the band's highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 10, while "Ain't It Fun" reached number 1 on the Alternative Songs chart, becoming their first number-one single on a US radio format.
