BIOGRAPHY

Scarface, also known as Brad Jordan, is an American rapper born on November 9, 1970, in Houston, Texas. He is one of the founding members of the group Geto Boys, with whom he achieved international success in the 1990s. As a solo artist, he has released eight studio albums, including the acclaimed album "The Diary" (1994). Scarface grew up in the South Park neighborhood of Houston. He was expelled from several schools and spent time in prison for various offenses. It was while in prison that he began writing rap lyrics. Upon his release, he joined the Geto Boys, who at the time consisted of DJ Ready Red, Bushwick Bill, and producer J. Prince. Geto Boys achieved international success with the album "The Geto Boys" (1990), which included the single "Mind Playing Tricks on Me". The album reached number four on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum. The group's second album, "We Can't Be Stopped" (1991), reached number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified diamond. In 1992, Scarface released his first solo album, "Mr. Scarface Is Back". The album reached number five on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold. His second album, "The Diary", was released in 1994 and reached number two on the Billboard 200. The album was certified platinum and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance for the single "I Seen a Man Die". Scarface continued to release solo albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s. In 2002, he joined Rap-A-Lot Records, and in 2005, he released the album "The Fix", which reached number one on the Billboard 200. The album was certified platinum and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance for the single "On My Block". Scarface released his eighth solo album, "Deeply Rooted", in 2015. The album reached number five on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold. In 2017, he released the album "The Untouchable", which reached number two on the Billboard 200.
