Bruce Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter born on September 23, 1949, in Long Branch, New Jersey. He is regarded as one of the most influential musicians of his generation. Throughout his career, Springsteen has sold over 135 million albums worldwide and has won 20 Grammy Awards, 2 Golden Globes, and an Oscar. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999 and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2009. The album reached the second spot on the Billboard 200 and sold over five million copies in the US. In 1995, Springsteen released his tenth album, "The Ghost of Tom Joad".
