"Roger Sanchez is a musical artist born on June 1, 1967, in New York, USA. He is known for his remixes and productions in the house and techno genres. Sanchez began his musical career in New York clubs during the 1980s. In 1993, he released his first album, "Oye Como Va", under the name DJ Roger. This album was successful and contributed to establishing Sanchez's reputation in the house music scene. In 1996, Sanchez initiated his own compilation series titled "Release Yourself", which became one of the most popular mix series in the house music genre. Sanchez has also released several solo albums, such as "First Night" (1998), "Second Night" (2000) and "Third Night" (2002). In 2003, Sanchez was named DJ of the year at the International Dance Music Awards. In 2006, he was named producer of the year at the Grammy Awards.
