Shalamar is an American disco and soul music group from Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 1977 by singer and dancer Jeffrey Daniel, singer Howard Hewett, and bassist Carolyn Griffey. Shalamar achieved international success in the 1980s with hit singles such as "I Can Make You Feel Good", "A Night to Remember" and "Dancing in the Sheets". The group also appeared in the 1984 film "Footloose". Shalamar disbanded in 1988, but Daniel and Hewett reunited the group in 2003.
