Tears for Fears è un gruppo di rock britannico formato nel 1981 da Roland Orzabal e Curt Smith. Il loro primo album, intitolato "The Hurting", è stato pubblicato nel 1983 e ha raggiunto la prima posizione delle classifiche britanniche. Il secondo album del gruppo, "Songs from the Big Chair", ha ottenuto un successo internazionale raggiungendo la prima posizione negli Stati Uniti e includendo i singoli "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" e "Shout". Il loro terzo album, "The Seeds of Love", è stato pubblicato nel 1989 e ha raggiunto la seconda posizione delle classifiche britanniche. Il gruppo si è separato nel 1991, ma si è riunito nel 2004 con la pubblicazione dell'album "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending". Nel 2017, i Tears for Fears hanno pubblicato l'album "Rule the World: The Greatest Hits".
