AEL, di nome vero Alexandre-Édouard Lepage, è un artista franco-canadese di musica nato nel 1977 a Montréal. Ha iniziato la sua carriera come DJ e produttore di musica elettronica nei club di Montréal all'inizio degli anni 2000. Nel 2003, ha pubblicato il suo primo album, "L'Effet papillon", sotto lo pseudonimo di Ael, ben accolto dalla critica. Nel 2006, il suo secondo album, "Le Dernier Voyageur", pubblicato sotto il suo vero nome, è stato ancora più acclamato dal primo, posizionandolo come uno dei musicisti franco-canadesi più talentuosi della sua generazione. Nel 2009, il suo terzo album, "Les Chants du Nord", ha confermato la sua reputazione di leader della scena elettronica franco-canadese. AEL è noto per la sua prolificità musicale con diversi album e singoli al suo attivo. Nel 2012, il suo quarto album, "Étoiles filantes", è stato ben accolto dalla critica e dal pubblico. Con una fusione unica di suoni elettronici e acustici, AEL è considerato uno dei migliori artisti di musica elettronica della sua generazione, con composizioni al contempo melodiche ed energiche e performance avvincenti.
