BIOGRAPHY
The 49ers were an American rock band from San Francisco, California, active from 1966 to 1972. The group was originally composed of lead singer John Phillips, drummer Scott McKenzie, guitarist Roger McGuinn, and bassist David Crosby. Later, keyboardist Michael Clarke joined the group, and the quintet became known as the Byrds.
Note: In English, "Les 49ers" is referred to as "The Byrds" instead.
