"Aerosmith is an American rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1970, by singer Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, and bassist Tom Hamilton. Drummer Joey Kramer and guitarist Brad Whitford quickly joined them. The band has sold over 150 million albums worldwide, including 66.5 million in the US, and has won four Grammy Awards.
Aerosmith achieved great commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s with albums such as "Toys in the Attic" (1975) and "Rocks" (1976), as well as singles such as "Walk This Way" (1975), "Sweet Emotion" (1975) and "Dream On" (1976). The band went through a difficult time in the 1990s, but experienced a resurgence in popularity in the 2000s with albums such as "Just Push Play" (2001) and "Honkin' on Bobo" (2004), and singles such as "Jaded" (2001) and "Sedona Sunrise" (2004).
Aerosmith is considered one of the most important and influential rock bands of all time, ranked 24th on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001."
