BIOGRAPHY
Betty Miranda is a French-Brazilian music artist, born in 1970 in Rio de Janeiro. Born into a family of musicians, she began her career as a pianist in her hometown's clubs. She later studied composition and orchestra conducting at the Rio de Janeiro University. In 1992, during a music festival in France, she met French composer and pianist Jean-Claude Petit. This encounter led to a collaboration, which resulted in the release of the 1994 album Betty Miranda Sings Jean-Claude Petit. Subsequently, Betty Miranda has recorded several solo albums, including Betty Miranda (1996), Betty Miranda Sings Noel Rosa (1998) and Rio de Janeiro (2001). In addition, she has participated in various musical projects in France, such as the album Les Chansons de Paris (2000) and the tribute album Betty Miranda Sings Piaf (2002). Now residing in Paris, she continues to perform in France and Brazil.
