Bibie is a Ghanaian hiplife singer born on October 8, 1966 in Kumasi, Ghana. She began her musical career in 1985, playing rock and reggae in the clubs of Kumasi. In 1986, she joined the hiplife group VIP. In 1990, Bibie released her first solo album, "Bibie", followed by "African Woman" in 1992, which was a huge success with the public and contributed to her fame in the Ghanaian music industry. Her third album, "I Want to Live", released in 1994, was a huge success in West Africa. In addition to her musical career, Bibie has also appeared in several Ghanaian films, including the famous 1995 film "Yeelen". She is considered one of the best hiplife singers in Ghana.
