BIOGRAPHY
George and Louis Johnson were born in Los Angeles, California, and began playing music together during their teenage years. They gained fame in the 1970s as members of Quincy Jones's band, appearing on several of his albums. The brothers later released a series of successful albums under their own name, with hits such as "I'll Be Good to You" and "Strawberry Letter 23." They continue to perform and record together, and are widely regarded as among the best funk musicians of their generation.
