BIOGRAPHY
Carrie Lucas is an American singer, songwriter, and music producer. She was active in 1980s and 1990s pop and R&B music. As a solo singer, she released four albums and had several hits, such as "Dance with You" and "I Gotta Keep Dancin'". As a member of the pop music group The Cover Girls, she contributed to the production of two albums and also had several hits, including "Because of You" and "Show Me".
Lucas grew up in Los Angeles, California, and began her musical career in boy bands in her school. She later joined several girl groups, including The Cover Girls, before going solo. Her solo albums received critical acclaim and had some commercial success, but she never reached the same level of success as The Cover Girls. In 2000, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy. She later resumed her musical career and released an album in 2006. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
