The group Chic is an American disco and funk group, originally from New York. It was formed in 1976 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards. The group achieved international success with several of their songs, including "Le Freak", "I Want Your Love", and "Good Times". Chic was ranked among the 100 greatest bands of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, and bassist Bernard Edwards was ranked among the 100 greatest bassists of all time by the same magazine. In 2018, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
