"China Crisis is a British new wave band from Liverpool, England, formed in 1979 by Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon after leaving their previous bands, V2 and Deaf School. The band experienced limited commercial success in their home country, but gained popularity in Europe and Australia. Their debut album, "Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms, Some People Think It's Fun to Entertain," released in 1982, reached the Top 20 of the UK charts. Their second album, "Working with Fire and Steel - Possible Pop Songs Volume Two," released in 1983, reached the Top 10 of the UK charts. Their third album, "Flaunt the Imperfection," released in 1985, reached the Top 40 of the UK charts. Their fourth album, "What Price Paradise," released in 1987, also reached the Top 40 of the UK charts. China Crisis continued to release albums, including "Warped by Success" in 1989, "Diary of a Hollow Horse" in 1991, "Aria" in 1993, "Autumn in the Neighbourhood" in 1995, and "Tragedy and Mystery" in 1997, all reaching the Top 40 of the UK charts."
