"Clarence Carter is an American music artist born on January 14, 1936, in Montgomery, Alabama. He began his career in the 1960s by recording rhythm and blues singles for Atlantic Records. In 1968, he joined the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio label, where he recorded his first album, 'The Dynamic Clarence Carter'. He then went on to record two albums for the Blue Eye Records label before signing with Warner Bros. Records in 1972. His most famous album, 'Patches', was released in 1973. He has continued to record and perform concerts to this day."
