BIOGRAPHY
"Elli Medeiros is a French-Brazilian singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress born on March 25, 1962, in Rio de Janeiro. Raised in Paris, she began her music career in 1980 by signing with the French label Celluloid. She gained international fame with her first album, "Toi mon toit" (1985), which included the hit single "Toi mon toit". In 1987, she released her second album, "E=MC2", featuring the single "A Bailar Calypso". Medeiros has also acted in several films, such as "Betty Blue" (1986), "Les keufs" (1987), and "Taxi" (1998). In 2001, she co-founded the independent label Bam Bam Bam with her husband, producer and musician Philippe Cohen Solal. In 2003, she released her fifth album, "Toujours un coin qui me rappelle". She followed it with her sixth album, "Aux portes du soleil" in 2006, and her seventh album, "Rio de Janeiro" in 2009. Medeiros currently resides in Paris with her husband and two children."
