BIOGRAPHY
Eros Ramazzotti is an Italian singer and songwriter, born on October 28, 1963, in Rome. He is regarded as one of the most popular artists of his generation in Italy and Europe. Ramazzotti has sold over 60 million albums worldwide and has been named Italy's most loved male artist of all time by the Italian public. In 2013, he was named a member of the Order of Arts and Letters of France.
Ramazzotti began his career in 1981 by participating in a music competition for young people. He then signed with the Italian record label RCA and released his first album in 1984. Ramazzotti immediately found success in Italy with his second album, Nuovi eroi, which was certified platinum. He continued his success with the albums In ogni senso (1987), In certi momenti (1989), and Tutti gli altri siamo noi (1991).
Ramazzotti made his international debut with the album Eros (1997), which was a commercial and critical success. He has since released the albums Stilelibero (2001), 9 (2003), Calma apparente (2005), Ali e radici (2009), Noi (2012), and Perfetto (2015). Ramazzotti has also collaborated with numerous artists, including Tina Turner, Andrea Bocelli, Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin, and Anastacia.
In 2019, Ramazzotti was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
