Evelyn Thomas is an American singer born on November 19, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. She is known for her 1984 hit "High Energy".
Thomas began her musical career in Chicago clubs in the 1970s. She then signed with West End Records in 1982 and released her first single, "Heartless", in 1983. Her second single, "High Energy", was released in 1984 and became a global success, reaching number 1 in the UK and Ireland. Thomas released several other singles in the 1980s, including "Weak Spot" and "No Apologies". She also released three studio albums: "Heartless" (1984), "No Apologies" (1985) and "The Evelyn Thomas Collection" (1986).
After taking a break from her musical career in the 1990s, Thomas made a comeback in 2006 with a new album, "High Energy 2006". She also released a remix album in 2007, titled "The Remixes". Evelyn Thomas continues to tour and perform in clubs around the world.
