BIOGRAPHY
Fox the Fox is a Dutch music group formed in 1983, consisting of six members: Bas van Wieringen (vocals, guitar), Marcel de Groot (keyboards), Martijn Bakker (bass), Erik Jansen (drums), Jaap de Jong (guitar) and Jan van der Meij (guitar).
The group released four studio albums: "Fox the Fox" (1984), "Into the Night" (1985), "Hold the Line" (1986) and "Streetwise" (1987). They also released a live album, "Live in Concert" (1988).
Fox the Fox experienced some success in the Netherlands and Belgium in the 1980s, with singles such as "Precious Heart", "Thinking of You" and "Dangerous Game". Their music was influenced by new wave and synth-pop, and their style was inspired by the glam rock of the 1970s.
In 1989, the group disbanded and each member pursued a solo musical career or as part of other groups.
